The Kangnam International Student Society (KISS) organized a Korean Cultural Experience Tour for seventy-three international students on 26 May 2012 on Anmyeon Island located in Chungcheongnam-do. Due to heavy traffic the bus ride took two hours longer than expected, causing some students to get tired and hungry.
Upon arriving, however, everyone was excited about riding ATVs (All-terrain vehicles). It wasn’t as easy as it looked as one student ran off the track and fell into a ditch. Another hit a parked car, while some others bumped into trees.

After lunch, the students headed to the shore where they took off their shoes and relaxed by the water.
“I really liked the ATV course,” said Russian sophomore Regina Burnasheva. “It was not only interesting but also well organized.”

Daniel Dare Joseph, a PhD student from Nigeria, was similarly impressed. “This [trip] was full of fun and adventure. I really liked it!”
Despite some minor accidents, this adventure tour was a good tonic for relieving stress and bringing international students closer together. KISS plans to organize more such outings in the future.
