Kangnam University’s Department of English Literature hosted the 2013 English Writing Contest this morning in Gyeong-cheon Hall. After opening remarks by Department of English Literature professor Chung Indon and Kangnam University Vice President of Academic Affairs Yoo Yang-geun, over sixty students spent the next hour writing an essay on topics ranging from the changing roles of men and women to the personal qualities needed for success.
Prizes for the best essays will be given as follows:
1st – 300,000 won
2nd – 200,000 won
3rd – 100,000 won (two winners)
The results are to be announced by November 20.
